Most noticeable about Pastor Peter Greenidge is his energy, his love for God and his passion for winning lost souls.

At the age of seventeen in his homeland of Grenada, Pastor Greenidge came into a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.  Soon afterward he recognized the call of God upon his life for ministry.  In 1973, he enrolled at Jamaica Bible College where he received his B.A. in Bible and Pastoral Ministries.  On completion, he returned to Grenada and did church planting with the Berean Bible Churches where he pastored for eleven years.  During that time, he was actively involved in youth camps, evangelistic meetings, and taught at the local bible institute.  Educational advancement is one of Pastor Greenidge’s priorities.  At present, he is in the process of furthering his studies at Luther Rice Seminary.

 In 1984, he migrated to the USA where he ministered at the Light House Baptist Church and accepted the call to be the Pastor.  There he worked with inner city youths.  He also worked together with other leaders and was instrumental in establishing a youth camp.  He preached at many churches and conferences as well.

 Along with these endearing qualities is a huge tender heart towards God and God’s people.  He speaks from the heart.  He is a people person.  It is said that he is doing so many things; but everyday he takes time to talk with people, visit the community, meet for lunch and counseling.  But perhaps, more than anything, we appreciate the fact that he practices what he teaches from the pulpit.  What you see is what you get!

 In 2001, he came to Sarasota, Florida where he served at Sarasota Baptist Church and was Chaplain of the Sarasota Military Academy.  At present he is the Senior Pastor of Bethesda Word of Faith Church and Director of Bethesda Outreach Ministries, Inc.  His greatest joys are investing in the lives of young people, strengthening families, communities and the world by encouraging relationships with Jesus in a diverse multicultural atmosphere filled with vibrant worship and relevant preaching and teaching.

Through his vision and leadership, he is actively preparing a generation of leaders who are destined to change the world for the Glory of God.
